Occupational Health and Safety Policy
Standard Brands, as an organisation, is responsible for the health & safety of all our staff and visitors to our site; and we will commit to ensuring that the workplace is as safe as reasonably practicable.
The company’s safety statement sets out the health and safety measures we are implementing to protect all who work here.
We are committed to the prevention of injury and ill-health; we are also committed to providing all appropriate resources needed to fully support the safety statement and will identify responsibilities throughout our organisation. On a continuous basis, we will set and review objectives, targets and plans with a view to continually improving health & safety for all.
We will ensure that all applicable legal requirements such as “Safety Health & Welfare at Work Act” and other standards, to which Standard Brands subscribes, will be complied with.
The safety statement is communicated to all employees of Standard Brands with the intent that they are made aware of their individual OH&S obligations and is available to interested parties. It is also made available in hard copy at the QES Information Board. We will ensure that all appropriate information, instruction and training on all OH&S issues is given and ensure the competency of all.
We expect all employees to co-operate with us in order to achieve an accident free workplace. It is the responsibility of all employees to make themselves aware of the information detailed in the Safety Statement and to read and comply with all safety notices. We will endeavour to work safely always and think of others as we do.
The safety statement will be amended if and when required, and will be fully reviewed, at least, on an annual basis.
